Imaginative, nature-based counseling in Denver, Colorado

We’ll work together to address anxiety, depression, stress, quality of life, identity, and other struggles we face in a busy, demanding world. Nature will also be incorporated into session by way of mindfulness exercises, walks in the park, sensory awareness inventories, and nature-based activities to try outside of session.


Counseling for:

  • young adults struggling with anxiety and/or depression

  • young adults facing insecurity (social, emotional, financial, career, etc)

  • young adults struggling with relationships, friendships, or family

  • anyone who finds themselves adjusting to a transition, whether it be a move, new job, break-up, or anything that’s different

  • young professionals questioning the purpose or meaning of their job, or seeking to find a new career path

  • young adults facing social anxiety, comparison, judgment, or questioning their identity

We’ll have a quick phone or in person consult to make sure we’re a good fit to work together. I might ask you questions about what you’re looking for, why counseling now, or what your preferred methods of healing are currently.

We’ll compare calendars and find a time that works for both of us to meet at the Open View Office in City Park West, Denver. To check office hours, see below. I’ll send you some paperwork to read over and fill out before you come in.

Show up to session! This is honestly the first big step in making a change. Once you’re there, I’ll be by your side to consult with and to help you navigate the changes you’re seeking.

Megan Yarnall, MA, LPC

I was originally drawn to studying psychology and therapy because I constantly wondered about why people do what they do, and why people can interpret things and experience the world so differently than one another. My love for being outside, and the calm, peace, and sense of connection and belonging that nature has invited me into encouraged me to combine therapy and nature.
